Erin Gillis brings over 19 years of experience in the resource development sector, with a strong background in both technical and leadership roles in the Oil and Gas industry. As Vice President of Business Development & Client Relations at DF Barnes, she leads strategic growth initiatives, cultivates key partnerships, and oversees the company’s business development, marketing, communications, and client engagement activities.
Erin holds both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Earth Sciences (Geology) from Memorial University of Newfoundland, as well as an Executive MBA from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. As a Professional Geoscientist in the Oil and Gas industry for 17 years, she played a pivotal role in advancing offshore exploration in Newfoundland and Labrador, promoting the region’s prospectivity on the global stage, and contributing 24 peer-reviewed publications to the geoscience community.
Erin currently serves on the boards of Energy NL and the Women in Resource Development Corporation. She is also a dedicated community volunteer. Outside of work, Erin enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband Brian and their three children.
