RAS Platform
KMS completed the fabrication and installation of a Replenishment at Sea (RAS) training platform at CFB Stadacona for the Royal Canadian Navy. The trainer supports operational training for ship-to-ship replenishment activities carried out while deployed at sea.
The structure was fabricated at the KMS facility using more than 57,000 kg of steel. It was designed as 64 individual components, transported to site and assembled within tight tolerances. The installation included both a sending and receiving platform with integrated mast structures, built to reflect real-world operating conditions.
The project required detailed planning, precise fabrication, and coordinated on-site assembly. Work was completed to the required technical standards, supporting the delivery of a durable and functional training asset for the Navy.
