Project Description: DF Barnes successfully completed of the Alongside Refit of the Newfoundland Provincial Ferry MV Veteran at the Bull Arm facility during the Fall 2024 and Winter 2025 seasons. This significant undertaking performed by DF Barnes personnel was completed without a single lost time incident (LTI), a reflection of our unwavering commitment to safety and operational excellence. • Removal and replacement of three main engines and installation of new generator • Refurbishment of the forward passenger lounge • Deck infrastructure and systems replacement and upgrades, including scupper line replacements across multiple decks and the replacement of lifting cables on six hoistable deck sections. From the removal of deckheads and linings to the reinstallation of machinery, electrical, piping, and hydraulic systems, each component was carefully documented, stored, and reinstated with attention to detail and efficiency.
