DF Barnes Industrial is currently seeking an experienced Coatings Technician to join our highly skilled team supporting maintenance operations at the Vale Long Harbour site.

Job Duties

• Select appropriate coatings and other related mixes required for determined repairs
• Work with different coatings materials such as fusion-bonded epoxy, polyethylene, or polyurethane
• Operate or tend equipment to clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, or otherwise prepare items for applications of protective coatings
• Clean and maintain painting and coating, ventilation, compressed air and personal protective equipment
• Apply protective coatings to pipelines
• Monitor the application process to ensure even distribution of coatings
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to comply with health and safety regulations

• High school diploma
• Vocational training in a related field
• Knowledge of industrial technology would be beneficial
