Sean joined the DF Barnes Group of Companies in 2005 after many years in the aerospace sector. Sean brings extensive experience in business development within the oil and gas sector and has a strong background in labor relations. He has successfully negotiated and managed landmark, innovative, and productive construction labor agreements. Additionally, Sean has project management experience in large-scale steel fabrication and industrial construction projects.

As a senior executive at DF Barnes, Sean has played a pivotal role in the company's growth through both acquisitions and organic expansion. From 2009 to 2016, Sean served on the Board of Directors of the Newfoundland Offshore Industries Association (now Energy NL), where he held executive and director level positions. He has been deeply involved in the Newfoundland and Labrador oil and gas industry and various industry associations for many years, including an appointment to the Newfoundland Oil and Gas Industry Council by the Minister of Natural Resources in 2016.
